Fires in Spain and France, flooding in China and Australia, new floods of Corona patients in our hospitals, and an economic cost of living crisis.
Now I know bad news sells papers … or gets internet clicks, but it feels like we have now passed a tipping point. The world has fallen off the tracks in just a few months and it seems worse news hits us every day.
Instead of talking about climate change as a future issue as we have for many years, we are now seeing real-time effects as temperatures rise over 40C for the first time in Britain, and Canada records highs of 46C!
Some cities in the Eastern States of Australia have experienced 100-year floods not once but three times this year, the flood waters forcing people from their homes amid a housing crisis caused by the rise of short-term rentals.
